is a 50,000 watt FM station located in Greenwood,
Mississippi. It is in the heart of the Mississippi
Delta. The Delta is one of the areas that is popular
for the birth of the Blues.
WGNL 104.3 FM broadcasts a vast
variety of music with an Adult Contemporary/Oldies
& Blues format. One of the highest rated shows
on WGNL is the 6am to 6pm all day Saturday Blues.
This show includes a mixture of traditional Blues
including hits by artists Muddy Waters and Howlin
Wolf. There are many more contemporary Blues artists
such as Tyrone Davis and Johnnie Taylor featured
as well.
